Poets and Prophets: Salute to Songwriter Pat Alger

In the late 1980s, Pat Alger emerged as one of Nashville’s most perceptive songwriters by bringing a literary touch and insightful social commentary to the catchy song craft valued by Music Row. While he contributed significant hits to several artists, he made his biggest mark by co-writing four #1 hits for Garth Brooks.This interview will be illustrated with vintage photos, film, and recordings. Alger will perform a few songs. Ford Theater. After the program Alger will sign commemorative Hatch Show Print posters.
