TSO Classical Concert II

Dates:
Thursday, November 14, 2019 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

The Trevecca Department of Music is proud to present an evening of exceptional orchestral music featuring the Trevecca Symphony Orchestra! Under the direction of Mr. Elias Salazar, TSO is comprised of students, union, and non-union members that combine their talents to uphold a standard of orchestral excellence while maintaining the spirit of the music they present. TSO invites you to experience works of music that is balanced across all historical eras of music, providing players and listeners a comprehensive musical experience. Come and join us for an evening of orchestral music presented by the Trevecca Symphony Orchestra.

Directions: When you enter the very front of the school, you will continue to go straight. You will come to a roundabout, and you will go straight through it. Continue straight until you reach the Jackson Music Building on your left-hand side (you will see the big stone pillars). Park anywhere in the front or back!

If you can’t join us LIVE for the event, we hope you’ll join us online at streaming.trevecca.edu!

The Trevecca Symphony Orchestra is a volunteer, community orchestra that exists to provide opportunities for community musicians and Trevecca students to perform quality orchestral literature from the standard historical repertoire as well as emerging repertoire, to provide quality performances of orchestral literature for the Trevecca and Nashville communities, and to create a community of those who perform and appreciate the traditional and emerging orchestral repertories.

Elias Salazar is a Venezuelan American conductor residing in Nashville, Tennessee. In his time since entering the conducting spotlight in Nashville, he has appeared with numerous community and collegiate ensembles and captured audiences’ attention with his “precision, clarity, energy, and passion” on the podium. He currently serves as director of choral and orchestral music at Ensworth School and is in his second year as artistic director and conductor of the Trevecca Symphony Orchestra.

The Trevecca Symphony Orchestra is soliciting donations in support of the purchase of music and general operating expenses for their 2018-19 season. Donors of $100 or more will be recognized in our programs throughout the year. All gifts are tax deductible. All donations can be made at: www. trevecca.edu/give/trevecca-symphony-orchestra-sponsors.
