Families can sing, dance and play as a family at the museum the first Saturday of each month. Designed for families with children five-years-old and younger, Fam Jam is a participatory music-making experience, led by museum educators and a guest artist, that introduces young children to country music instruments and encourages child development through moving, singing and listening. This session will spotlight the fiddle and feature Amberly Rosen, who enjoys bridging the gaps between classical, free improv, country and folk music on violin, fiddle, mandolin and guitar. She has performed with a diverse group of artists, including Gloria Estefan, the Rosen Sisters and Paul Simon, in venues such as the Grand Ole Opry and on "The Late Show with David Letterman." Family music-making promotes language acquisition and the development of cognitive, social and motor skills. (Ages 0–5)
