Chef Julio Hernandez and team will be partnering with second generation guest chefs from across the U.S. for his “Ni de aquí Ni de allá 2026 Guest Chef Series” at Maíz de la Vida. Translating to “not from here, not from there,” the series will showcase the beauty of each chef’s work and the variety of different styles of Mexican cooking–bringing a little slice of it to the Nashville community throughout the year. To kick off the series, Chef Alan Delgado of acclaimed Los Burritos Juárez out of Brooklyn, NY will be popping up next Thursday 3/5 for a collaboration with Chef Julio. Chefs to follow include Chef Gustavo Romero Veytia of Oro By Nixta (Minneapolis) this spring, Chef Alam Mendez of Apapacho Taqueria (D.C.) this summer, and Chef Janet Becerra of Pancita Seattle (Seattle) this fall.
