Musician Spotlight: Jeff Picker

Jeff Picker is a touring member of the progressive bluegrass band Nickel Creek. He previously spent five years as a member of Country Music Hall of Fame member Ricky Skaggs’s band, Kentucky Thunder, and one year as a member of the bluegrass ensemble East Nash Grass. Picker appears frequently as a member of the staff band at the Grand Ole Opry, where he has accompanied Country Music Hall of Fame members John Anderson, Vince Gill and many others. He has also performed or recorded with Sam Bush, Skip Ewing, David Grisman, the Infamous Stringdusters, Sarah Jarosz, Jacob Jolliff, John Jorgensen, Tim O’Brien, Mark O’Connor and Jordan Tice.
