Continuing the Ni de Aquí Ni de Allá guest chef series, Chef Julio Hernandez and team is hosting Chef Gustavo Romero Veytia of Oro by Nixta out of Minneapolis, MN - named as a semifinalist for Best Chef: Midwest in the 2026 James Beard Awards. With a shared connection and respect for heirloom corn, much like Maíz, Chef Gustavo opened Nixta Tortillería in 2020 to celebrate the craft of nixtamal and the rich history of Mexican corn, bringing truly great tortillas and the traditions behind them to Minneapolis. For one night only, guests can enjoy a limited à la carte menu featuring a selection of Chef Gustavo’s signature dishes alongside Maíz favorites.
