Bagelshop & Friends: Spread the Love with Saap Saap BBQ

In collaboration with Saap Saap BBQ for the entire month of August, Bagelshop is debuting the Jaew Phet & Smoked Mackerel schmear, created to pair with the Toasted Rice Bagel. Rooted in Lao tradition, Jaew Phet is made from roasted banana peppers, Thai chilies, jalapenos, onion, garlic, tomatoes, lime juice, and fish sauce, creating a dipping sauce consistently. For the schmear, the Jaew Phet sauce is folded in cream cheese then combined with smoked mackerel bits and blended cilantro, mint, Thai basil, and green onion. The hand rolled bagel is kettled broiled then first dipped in Khao Kua, rice toasted in a pan with lime leaves. Guests can enjoy the limited-time special any day at Bagelshop from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
