As one of the oldest poster and design shops in America, Hatch Show Print is still printing show posters for musicians, bands and performers, one at a time, via letterpress printing. At the Block Party, everyone 13 years and older will have the opportunity to work with a selection of hand-carved printing blocks and learn about the relief-printing process. Instructors will guide guests through the basics of composing an image, emphasizing layering and color usage. Attendees will discover how to apply ink, roll the brayers and design like it's 1879, creating each piece by hand. The Hatch Show Print team will be there to assist attendees every step of the way.
